Helping small public housing agencies navigate complex HUD regulations and requirements
aux·il·i·um: to assist, help, or give help.
Auxilium was founded by Larry Maxwell, an engineer with over 35 years of HUD experience. While at HUD, he used his vast knowledge of HUD regulations to guide public housing agencies (PHAs) through complex and often confusing HUD requirements.
The vision for Auxilium grew from his experiences during his time at HUD, where he observed that many smaller PHAs, due to size, locality, and expertise, often did not have the in-house capacity to navigate through the numerous and complex HUD regulations and requirements without technical assistance from persons knowledgeable in these areas. Often these requirements were the same for smaller PHAs as they were for larger PHAs, which tend to have more staff available to fulfill the HUD requirements.
